I photographed this same bird (also standing on a lily pad) on the same day, but perhaps half an hour or so after it stopped raining. I actually managed to get close enough to be able to zoom the lens out, for the first time. But being a total newbie I didn't realise it was an Indian PH. Thanks very much for that.
